A. The African Continental Free Trade Area will be the world’s largest free trade area by numbers once it is fully up and running. It will establish a single market for goods and services across member countries and allow free movement of business travellers and investments and create a continental customs union to streamline trade and attract long-term investment. Out of 55 African countries, 54 have signed the Agreement, 29 have ratified setting up AfCFTA leaving 25 countries who have yet to fully commit to the AfCFTA agreement before they can participate and benefit from frictionless trade and easy cross border travel. 1 country has not yet signed the agreement.
